FUNCTIONAL FIXTURE GAGES

An Attribute or Functional Gage checks for proper fit or clearance between two or more features. Functional gaging provides a Go/NoGo level of measurement, however it does not have the capability of determining the exact variance from the nominal dimension of a given feature.

Functional Hole Location Gages provide a simple and ergonomic means to apply Go/NoGo inspection to the part.

The Functional Fixture Hole Location Gage provides the means to locate the part based on part or machine requirements utilizing geometric, dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) practices. Gaging units are applied to specific features of the part providing results based on criteria of a good or bad part condition according to customer specifications.

In applications where a fixture cannot be used to hold the part and portable gaging units are required, Functional Hand Held Hole Location Gages will be applied directly to the part.
